Located about 15 miles north of Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, the terminal can process up to one billion cubic feet of natural gas per day.
Energía Costa Azul is located on the west coast of North America, 15 miles north of Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.
Before the terminal was in operation, Baja California imported all of its natural gas from California, U.S. Since the terminal began operations, the state has better control of its natural gas supply and pays a more competitive price for gas. Currently, 92 percent of the gas processed in Energía Costa Azul is consumed in Baja California.
